WebZ Design Work Group Minutes

Present: Beth Kraemer, Miko Pattie, Tom Kmetz, Susan Brown, Stacey Nickell,
Kevin Murphy, Teri Weil
Pattie discussed the concept of the changing from committees to workgroups. Workgroups report directly to KCVL.
Brown discussed where to find information about the workgroup.
- Go to the KCVL Gateway
- Click the "About" button.
- Select committees in the blue navigation column to the left
In addition, Brown discussed the WebZ test server
The purpose of the WebZ Design group was discussed
- Serve as a feedback mechanism
- Help design WebZ to be patron friendly
Kraemer described SiteSearch
- An OCLC product that allows communication with Z39.50 compliant databases and catalogs for one look and feel.
- Explained the process for upgrading (we are currently running 4.02)
Brown distributed a list of WebZ issues for us to work from. It was suggested
that the list be numbered for ease of use. This list will be available in FileMakerPro
format from the WebZ Design Group area of the KCVL site.
