CVL COLLECTIONS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING

Chair Marian Winner called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. Minutes of the October 23 meeting were reviewed and approved.
1. REVIEW AND FURTHER REVISION OF RFP
Miko distributed the revised RFP (dated 11/13/98) incorporating changes recommended at the October 23 meeting. Miko also distributed "Commonwealth Virtual Library User Profile (as of Fall 1999)" with revised FTE figures and noted the changes to be made on the 11/13/98 RFP first page description of communities of interest.
Dave King led the subcommittee in an hour-and-forty-five minute section by section review of the 11/13/98 draft.
2. REVIEW OF VENDOR RESPONSE EVALUATION CRITERIA
Miko led the subcommittee in a thirty minute discussion of evaluation criteria to be included in the RFP based on the VIVA model.
3. REVIEW OF DATABASE PRIORITIES/SUPPORT FOR CVU PILOT PROJECTS
The remaining hour-and-a-half Miko and Marian led subcommittee discussion on reprioritizing the 10/21/98 CVL Database listing to support the nine approved CVU Pilot Projects.
Miko will revise the CVL Databases list to reflect this prioritization and distribute at our next meeting.
4. FUTURE DISCUSSION/NEXT MEETING
Charlene Davis and Bill Garner will develop criteria for an evaluation tool to rate vendor responses and present at our next meeting.
The next meeting will be 10:00 a.m. to noon at CPE on Tuesday, December 2, to review and finalize the RFP document and vendor evaluation tool.
