PRESENT: Gary Austin, Perry Batcher, Larry Besant, Beverly Daly, Jim Edwards, Sharon Marsh, Bill Richardson, Charles Robb, Doug Robinson, Lisa Russell, Carrie Stephenson, and Philip Yannarella.
1. INTRODUCTION.
Due to time conflicts, future meetings will be held on Wednesday afternoons if at all possible. The next meeting may be scheduled in conjunction with KLA Academic Section's Spring Conference at Ken Lake in April.
2. GIA LINKS
The subcommittee members agreed to put federal and state links up as soon as possible on the Gateway. A subgroup of volunteers (Beverly Daly, Gary Austin, and KDLA members) will work on suggestions for WEB page design and authoritative links. The GIA web page will be a prototype to identify future needs and problems (does it work, more aids needed, etc.).
3. DIGITIZATION PROJECT.
Bill Richardson will revise the timeline and add "consultant + 30 days" as approximate starting dates after the consultant is hired.
4. 10:45 A.M. JOINT MEETING WITH KENTUCKIANA SUBCOMMITTEE.
Several changes were made to the consultant RFP and the Project Manager job descriptions and both were approved as amended. Miko Pattie emphasized speed in filling both positions. The Kentuckiana Subcommittee will meet March 26th at 1 p.m.
GIA meeting adjourned sine die at 11:25 a.m.
