Pre meeting: Haiwang gave a demonstration of making animated gifs.
Basically it is three steps:
1) Capture the screen
2) Process/clean up the image
3) Compile/Direct/Edit
He suggests using GIF Movie Gear, which is available from http://www.gamani.com/. If your section could benefit from an animated gif, let Haiwang and/or Susan know.
Sonja Eads joined our group as the new community college representative.
Meeting Begins:
A great deal of discussion on the RFP, here are some high points:
Discussion of quizzes
When possible, use WebZ screen shots whenever possible to illustrate a point.
Digression: should we rename the whole thing - using A virtual library, finding information, using databases
Role of Info Lit vis--vis statewide literacy and information literacy
There is an interface planning committee of the technology committee, and it would make sense for there to be coordination from the help screens for the system and our tutorial whenever appropriate.
