ABSENT: Janet Brewer, Louann Hardy, Neata Wiley

1. Introduction:

Hannelore asked everyone to do a brief introduction on each one's experience in information literacy activities. There are skills in bibliographic instruction, reference, web-based course design, online tutorial design, etc.

2. Listserv for the Group:

Haiwang will establish a listserv for this group for its work and for information sharing as well.

3. CVL Status Report:

Miko reported on the status of CVL planning so far: 1. Collections group is getting ready for vendor presentations on Sept. 3 & 4; evaluation of databases is going on; IL members need to get involved in this-- go to http://www.nku.edu/kycvu/vlibrary.html and Collections Sub. and Databases under consideration. Ask your Collections members for passwords; tentative implementation date is Jan.'99. 2. Document Delivery group is drafting RFP for ground courier service. The service is to be in place for April '99. Hannelore mentioned the new initiative of having a statewide common system - Endeavor that CPE is considering funding under CVL. This will enable us to make navigation easier and to make training less taxing.

4. CVU Faculty Forum:

Miko reported on her involvement in the planning for the upcoming CVU faculty forum to be held on Nov. 12. It is our golden opportunity to integrate CVL information services into the CVL curriculum. All members are encouraged to talk to their campus rep on the CVU Faculty Development group and to let Miko know how we want to be involved in the program.

5. Charge:
