Surveys

A survey is a good instrument to use when you want to find out what other people think.   When you do a survey, you can ask the questions yourself (sort of like an interview, but not as long), or you can print it and have people write the answers.

Like an interview, it is best if you know what information you are looking for before you start!   It is a good idea to keep the survey simple, with short questions.

For answers, it is best to give people the option of choosing an answer, like:

1.  Do you agree with the proposal to save our Polar bears?

Yes No

or like this:

2.  What do you think about the proposal to save our Polar bears?

Disagree
Don't care
Agree

or like this:

3.  On a scale of 1 to 5, what do you think about this proposal?

1- very favorable - it's a good idea
2 - OK with it
3- neutral - have no feelings
4 - disagree, could be a better idea
5 - strongly disagree!!
