Once you have
finished your web or concept map, you can start to narrow
your topic, so it will not be so big. If you have chosen a
great big topic like Kentucky, you can use a general-to-specific
triangle to cut down on so much information.

General-to-Specific Triangle which helps you narrow your
topic. Here are
examples:

Kentucky is just way too big! You could write a very
thick book. The triangle shows you how to narrow it down to
something a little easier -- and even Lexington is a very big
topic! Here's another one:

Be sure that you can
find information about your choice (ask your librarian about
this).
