- This site offers a great way to find information about different features
in the United States. You can search for falls, oil fields, tunnels, and much
more. Serves as a gazetteer and allows you to see a map of the location. Look
for information on Kentucky!
- U.S. Gazetteer
- You can search for a city or county (in Kentucky or elsewhere), find basic information about it, map it, and connect to basic census data about that place.
- Kentucky Rails to Trails
Council
- The council is coordinating a statewide program to preserve abandoned railways
and covert them to trails and greenspace. This site provides information on
the Councils projects, meetings and minutes, trips, outings, and legislative
news.
- World Fact Book
- Information on the nations of the world, gathered and published by the CIA. Includes an overview of government, geography, people, communication, transportation, military and transnational issues.

- American Folklife Center
- View online collections, learn where you can get more information on folklife in the US. This site has a lot of information on the South. For Kentucky information, connect to Services to the States located under "Information and Site Contents."

- Did you ever wonder exactly what anthropology was? This site offers a great introduction. Though the site is specific to the college that created it, the "What Is Anthropology?" section and the "Anthropology Tutorials" are worth reading.
